Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

A sweet and crunchy treat for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar 
  • 3/4 tsp salt 
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 egg white 
  • 1 tbsp water 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1 lb (454g or 4 1/4 cups) pecan halves 

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, add the sugar, salt and cinnamon. Mix to combine.
  2. Preheat oven to 2500°F.
  3. In a larger bowl, add the egg white, water and vanilla extract. Whisk until frothy.
  4. Add the pecans to the egg white mixture. Stir until all pecans are moistened.
  5. Add the cinnamon sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and add the pecans. Spread the pecans to a single layer.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, tossing the pecans every 15 minutes.
